What is wrong with these people........is it a Wisconsin thing........
Well it has been an interesting month to say the least......Where should I start...well last night I was on a Pai-gow table and there was this big guy constantly bitching about his cards for the past hour and a half....but didn't have the common sense to walk away when he was $700 up. Instead he kept complaining....started calling me names so he can feel better about his lousy cards....to say the least it was getting old. Believe it or not I kept quiet the whole night......yes me.....well I have a cold so I didn't feel like talking much especially when Mr. Asshole was at my table....so after being belittled for 90 minutes by a so called customer....I decided to say.....well sir you can get up from the table if you like since the cards our so bad....we have other Pai-gow tables in the casino. Then of course he gave me more attitude from my comment and it escalated from there. It got to the point when Mr. Asshole decided to invite me outside for an ass kicking...so he says... So I called the floor person over to let them know that there was a problem...I don't think he heard everything I said about the so called customer wanting me to step outside for a little bit.....but he knew there was a small problem....then the pit boss comes over and asks Mr. A if there is a problem over here......and of course the big guy backed down.....probably because of his obvious gambling problem and said no.....of course I wanted to countinue the conversation a bit by saying to the pit boss that he needed a tissue.....for his constant crying at the table for the past 90 minutes....so the pit boss brings the tissue and Mr. A passes on grabbing some for his eyes and he didn't say a word for the rest of the night......Lol
Well now for the bowling story..... remember that Milwaukee Open tournament that was held last month at Classic Lanes Menominee Falls.....the former Milwaukee Hall of Fame tournament... So to make a long story short I bowled a guy in semi-final match who had 50 buddies of his rooting him on to win the match......which is perfectly fine.... except the only problem was is that one of the buddies out there had a bad cough......but it only happened when I was up bowling......go figure......on one occasion after I stopped on one loud cough in a silent room....I started again with another....stopped again and heard a nice chuckle as people thought it was funny.......I think I'm finally understanding the stupidity of Wisconsinites....... Well if common sense told me if the roles were reversed..... and myself having bowling common sense unlike some of these morons....I would of told them to knock it off......and better yet so would the person or people running the tournament. Of course the next evening at the Hall of Fame dinner....the situation was brought up with my wife about what had happened......but the response was " To ignore them and that is how those people are". Well that isn't the type of person I am......and I don't know why I didn't open my mouth about the situation while it was happening........ and no one else in the building that knew what was going on had any common sense to say anything either......I wasn't being my usual self I guess but I was trying to be nice and look how far that got me....Lol.....telling it like it is....is my best trait like it or hate it that is me......In the first match I was my old self...... when the opponent I was bowling threw 4 brooklyn strikes at me in the first game of a 2 game match shooting 230.......Instead of sticking my hand out and saying nice game.....I politely said nice score....... I think he was mad at me.......oh well sometimes the truth hurts a little.....Lol

People involved in bowling and gambling are very similar... they are both dum-dums
I've been away from writing articles for quite sometime mainly because I needed to get away from all of the stupidity going on in the bowling world. So instead I have been working more at my everyday job dealing at the local casino here in Milwaukee WI.
About half the people who bowl and go to gamble at the casino are dum-dums to say the least. All they do is complain without ever having a real reason or fact to support their claim. Here are some of the most common complaints:
Gamblers Bowlers
How does the dealer get blackjack so much Their is no oil on the lanes.........
The dealer always gets good hands and I don't Their is too much oil on the lanes
The game is fixed and their is no way I can win I should of had a strike instead of 9
With myself being a tell it like it is type of guy I will be up front with these people and tell them the real answer......
When they say their isn't any or too much oil on the lanes......I tell them that maybe you don't know how to bowl.....or really understand what you are talking about
When the gamblers complain they are losing I might remark that you cut the cards to begin with didn't you....or if the guy at third base wouldn't stand on 14 when I have a 10 showing maybe you wouldn't be losing.......
The easy way out is too ignore them and don't respond.......and in some cases i might be better especially when you get called a mother f---er 15 times in a half hour by a player after you take $4000 from him......when he was done playing and lost all of his money he yelled it for the last time.....I responded by saying...... have a nice day sir....Lol
I'm still trying to figure out why people are such dum-dums.......what happen to the people who use to go out to have fun and a good time...........by going bowling or to the casino. I'm trying to figure out if people are that stupid or if it is a Wisconsin thing.......Lol... I think in all honesty people are getting dumber by the minute........... Even the people you work for and the people in charge of the USBC Open Championships tournament.....
I tried to ask a guy in a suit (manager) at work a simple question about an error they made in my schedule...... I walk into the office and the first thing he does is look mad like I'm bothering him ........I know the guy is busy but if I have a problem or need to ask a question isn't it their job to assist you with your problem........then another guy in a suit comes into the office and now I'm put on hold...... which is fine....... except now this guy is all of a sudden in a good mood and talking about what movie he is going to see......the suit leaves then he looks into my situation again acting like he is being bothered from who knows what.......he takes care of one situation and I ask him nicely about the other........and he says he won't take care of it because of this and that but he took care of the same situation with the same thing a minute before. So I ask him what I am supposed to do............ after his remarks and I get accused for having a bad attitude for asking what I thought was a simple question.........the only thing I understood from this ordeal was that the next time I have a problem with something I better grab a suit from home put it on before I go to work and then maybe the guy will deal with my situation better the next time.....
It is similar to the Mr. 179 story.........USBC doesn't like it when you ask questions on the forums on certain things especially when you state facts........then a spokesperson from USBC gets on their and says that you should write an e-mail to handle the situation instead of leaking out the problem on the message boards....but then when you do you never get an answer to your question. I was going to write one last article on Mr. 179's situation and the unfairness of the classified division.......
Here are the kind of comments I get from asking questions from USBC.....
Can you explain to me why the letter of re-rate said that he bowled in last years Open Championship when in fact he didn't compete.
Can you explain to me on how he was re-rated to 182.....because based by your letter he was re-rated to that average based on last years tournaments scores when in fact he didn't bowl... and before you give me an answer......why don't you look at the information below.......
Bob Godden and Ed Gronski bowled the Open Championships tournament within 2 weeks after Lyle Kittell competed but wasn't re-rated............
Bob Godden has averaged over 190 in every Open Championship tournament he has competed in over the last 3 years and had cashed for over $600.00 in all-events last year and a total of over $1400.00 but yet he was not re-rated......while Lyle Kittell was re-rated without any earnings. Can you explain....
Ed Gronski which has had a drop in average of over 20+ pins since his last prior league average (2 years prior) wasn't re-rated or even looked at. Dennis Tomhave dropped his average over 20 pins in one year and wasn't re-rated. While Lyle Kittell's last league average was 6 years ago with a drop of over 20+ pins in average but was re-rated.... Can you explain.....
Roy Umehira has averaged 193 over the past 3 Open Championship appearances.......and he wasn't re-rated Dave Dubois finished in the top 10 in all-events last year at the Open Championships and made a total of over $1600 and he wasn't re-rated Lyle Kittell has averaged 193 over his last 3 Open Championship appearances 2002,2004,2007 .......but he was re-rated
(Average over the past 2 years competed at the Open Championship tournament)
Bob Godden 194 Roy Umehira 190 Ed Gronski 188 Dave Dubois 185 Dennis Tomhave 182
Lyle Kittell using his last 2 years (2004,2007) 185
Can you explain why Lyle was re-rated and the others weren't
An added note since the tournament is bowled on Sport Patterns you might as well add another 15 pins to their average which would be their actual bowling ability......
Our intention was to prove that their is a major problem with the rules in the classified division.....It was Lyle's intention to re-rate himself prior to bowling in the 2009 Open Championship Tournament.....But we feel that he was only re-rated because of spite..... Actually I look at it as possible discrimination.....because I believe he was re-rated out of bitterness from your staff because of my articles regarding your tournament.... only because of stating facts about how bad the rules are and your lack of credibility and integrity involved in the Open Championship tournament.... Can you give me an explanation about this please.......
Be looking forward with what you have to say...... Greg Thomas
Here is response number one.......
Dear Mr Thomas: The answer to the six questions you pose in you letter is, "Yes." That being said, I intend to focus my complete attention on providing a memorable experience to the 90,000 participants who enjoy and are able to recognize the quality event that is the Open Championships as opposed to the handful of individuals that appear to have nothing more substantive to do in their lives than attack a tournament which they obvious love. I have a deep appreciation and respect for the obvious compassion you exhibit toward bowling and the Open Championships. I look forward to the day in which you will learn to channel your influence and efforts in a more positive direction. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you at future events. Best Regards, Duane Hagen Open Championships Manager
I didn't know I was attacking a tournament......merely only pointing out stupidity........ (kind of like these responses I got from the tournament manager) on a bad rule that basically ruins the image of the governing body of bowling with refusing to do anything about it....or giving you the time of day with a actual response to your question.....
I thought I would try it again..........and write another letter to get a logical explanation to my questions.....
Mr. Hagen:
Actually I knew you wouldn't really answer my questions....and I'm really not surprised...well I guess you answered them but not with a meaningful response...Eventhough you won't admit it....you can't tell me that I don't have a reason or a concern for the questions I asked which is based on facts....
Yes I do love the tournament.....Actually I use to love it more 20 years ago or longer because back then there wasn't the politics and the obvious concern about the greatest amateur tournament in the world main focus is money...
I do agree with your main focus on the 90,000 participants.....no arguement there....
I'm actually not attacking the tournament.......I'm merely pointing out the stupidity and lack of credibility with a lack of a simple rule....remember the website is called bowlingfordumdums......
When Jerry told me last year that they were finally going to do something about this problem last year....my reaction was well it is about time. But an extra question on the green sheet and not looking into it thoroughly should logically raise concerns....
I think my questions were fair questions to ask and deserve a more defined answer than yes......but if you can't and you won't I understand I will have to right my last article based on what happened and your lack of response....
I'm not a bad guy.....Lol....you can ask Jerry...I'm tired of the governing body looking bad all the time....and blaming things they say is always out of their control all the time (excuse)....and in this situation your blaming bowlers trying to gain an unfair advantage.....when the fact is...is that USBC allows it to happen and could actually do something about it.......more than a question on a greensheet .....which is half the problem here....hello....
In closing I don't think there is a few people attacking a tournament that they love....I think it is more like people pointing out bad decision making.... and by the message boards it looks like more than a few......escpecially with all the e-mails I answer about it on a weekly basis.... Last article coming out next week....sure would be nice to have a more detailed response from the questions I asked below..... Greg Thomas
My second response.......
Good hearing from you. I can do nothing about the past, or what may have been said or promised. I pledge you will see as powerful and concerted effort as is reasonably possible to protect the integrity and enhance the reputation of the open championships for the future. Obtaining input from people like yourself is very instrumental to my learning process as I gain expertise in this endeavor. I do not think you are a bad guy. I do not even know you. I will form no opinions until I have the pleasure of meeting you. I do not believe answering your questions thoroughly would do anything more than facilitate a back and forth exchange leading to nowhere. This would also not prove prudent in light of investigations pending. Best regards, Duane Hagen
It didn't sound like it when he replied the first time..........I guess people can't handle being asked simple questions and giving an honest response......and being a paid member of an organization I guess that isn't included with your membership benefits Lol.....and for that reason I don't deserve an honest response.... Then again if I wore a suit maybe just maybe I could be given one......... It goes to show you again how stupid people can be without thinking....... Is there a country out in this world I could move to.......to get away from all these dum-dums...... Lol
I'm beginning to figure out that people would rather ignore problems than trying to solve them......maybe that is why I think people are dum-dums.......whatever the reason is.....it could be being lazy....not giving a crap...or thinking there isn't a problem....... If allowing some bowlers to gain an unfair advantage in the classified division isn't a problem then I have wasted my time then........Is this why the image of the sport of bowling has been tampered with for so long...... I guess we will find out in about 10 years.....
